I will participating the first Nomades del Arte Exhibition to be held at the Sage Creek Gallery of Santa Fe in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  This will be a spectacular show of 400 paintings by 200 artists painting en plein air in the southwest United States – Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas or Utah.  The show will run from March 1 – 31 with an opening reception on March 7^th, from 5 – 9 pm.

I have had two paintings juried into the International Museum of Contemporary Masters of Fine Art "Salon International 2008".  The exhibit will be at the Greenhouse Gallery of Fine Art in San Antonio, Texas, from April 12 to May 2, 2008.  Please visit their website at www.si.greenhousegallery.com to view the entire exhibit.

I will be an invited guest at the Outdoor Painters Society "Plein Air Texas 2008" again this year.  The exhibition is hosted by the Southwest Gallery in Dallas, Texas, and is a masterful exhibit.  You can view all the paintings at their website www.swgallery.com.

In conjunction with this event will be a “Quick Draw” competition and show on Saturday, April 19, 29008, from 10 – 1 pm at Dallas Heritage village in Old City Park.  This event will be an opportunity to watch artists at work as they complete a painting in 3 hours or less.  It is always fun and entertaining.  Come and watch the fun!

Announcements

It was my great honor to paint and present this painting entitled "Barbara Bush Roses" to the former first lady in April 2005.  Mrs. Bush is truly a remarkable woman whom I have admired for a long time.

At a reception in Houston, I was honored to present Governor Rick Perry with an original oil painting of Revielle VII, the new mascot for Texas A & M University.  The Texas governor is a 1972 graduate of the university and I am a 1978 graduate.

I was very pleased for my painting entitled "Cactus Music" to be used on the cover of the Austin Graduate School of Theology Magazine Theologia for the summer 2002 issue.

The BIG Picture!

In 2002, I completed one of my biggest commissions to date, 6 feet by 4 ½ feet!  It was from the top of the hilltop town of San Gimignano in the Tuscany region of Italy.  I completed 3 studies on location in Italy.  Back home in the studio, I combined elements from each and used photographs to gather enough information for the large piece.  It was a very rewarding experience!
